That said, some other projections would be useful, in particular other
non-simple cylindrical projections, that don't take the poles to
infinity, would be very useful for prints.  Specifically, the equal area
cylindrical projections:

This would require either support in pano12 (where the transformation
stack of Hugin runs), or dusting off and finishing the SpaceTransform
stuff which was the beginnings of an attempt to give Hugin it's own
coordinate transformation stack.
