[ptx] Installing Gimp Plugins

Hi All,

I'm having problems getting both the tif2xcf.pl script and PanTools pluins working in the gimp 2.2 on Kubuntu.

I've got both of the files in the Gimp's plugin directory, but they're not appearing in any of the filter or scripts menus.

I couldn't find gimptool anywhere on the system, though it isn't my machine and I didn't install the System of programs

Reason I'm asking is becuase to patch both the Zenith and Nadir remapping the stitched panorama with Hugin is yeilding a black line going along one edge and into the centre
