I did get it to work on linux, but it was a few years ago.  I
remember that the location of the templates was critical and
effectively made it unpackageable.

Perhaps the templates need to be in the same directory as the
executable?

I'm sorry, this is the kind of problem that is inevitable when a
tool is both unsupported and closed.
