I just noticed your email now. I don't check the list often. Gentoo is
friendly to developers. If packages don't build nicely, we make them
build nicely then send patches upstream. At least that's how it works
ideally. More so than with binary distros.

I will remove these then when I get a chance.

Yes, I'm aware that libpano12 does. I didn't think the hugin ebuild had
java dependancies but I'll remove them.

Yes, someone recently added --unicode to ./configure I noticed for the
new 5.0-beta2

I also noticed someone removed it with the newest ebuild.

Looking forward to 0.5. There are 10 people on the CC list for the hugin
ebuild. I'd say that is a pretty good interest in the gentoo community
when you have 10 people subscribed to a new-ebuild-related bug on the
bugzilla.
In gentoo we have the following ebuilds in bugzilla/testing:
-hugin
-enblend
-autopano-sift
-libpano12
-clens
Is there anything we are missing for a complete panorama creating suite?
I haven't required anything beyond those programs when creating
panoramas, but I'm not a pro yet.
