Thanks for your magnificent page about compiling Hugin on Ubuntu...
I waited for it a long time !
I'm working on Ubuntu 5.04.
No problem with the first stage "Satisfying Dependencies".
The compiling of autopano-sift works like a charm... and autopanog.exe
works without mono parameter before : I like it !
Problems occur with the compiling of Panotools :
The process stops with these lines :
/checking for JAVA installation at ...
configure: java home set to /usr
checking if JAVA package is complete... no
configure: error:
java must be installed on your system
but configure could not find it.
Configure failed or did not finish!
/Java is installed on my system following the Ubuntu Guide at this
address :
http://www.ubuntu-fr.org/articles/ubuntuguide/les_logiciels.html#jre
java -version says me :
/gij (GNU libgcj) version 3.4.4 20050209 (prerelease) (Debian
3.4.3-9ubuntu4)

Strange ! it's not my java jre1.5.0_02 i've installed... I don't understand.
What's the problem with my Ubuntu configuration ? How could I install
the Hugin suite following your instructions ?
Thanks for your support.
