Sure.  The two critical scripts, xpt2optimizer & xpt2stitcher should fit
nicely to xslt - The other script, optimizer2xpt is trivial.

You should find these scripts are quite well commented.

Bear in mind that my xml format and Ianiv's haven't converged yet, so
you might want to think about the changes that should be made.
