I agree, hugin is in an early stage of development and is still very
rough around the edges.

Well, Hugin's GUI is created using wxWidgets, but more specifically
with XRC, which is a neat technology allowing for the interface to be
defined using XML. You can read about it here:

I think it's meant to be a general list for discussing software
involved in panorama creation, but it tends to be a development list
for hugin, and autopano-sift, in my observation ;)
