Summary: Debian packages do not conform debian standards
Initial Comment:
All Debian packages of hugin, libpano and other related
software which are distributed from
http://3demi.net/debian/debs/ do not conform standards,
Debian user expect from the .deb packages
1. libpano package should be split in at least two
packages - libpano12 runtime package and libpano-dev
package, and later shouldn't be required to just run
prepackaged hugin.
2. All packages should have correct Build-Depends line
in their debian/control
These packages require lots of other development
packages such as libjpeg-dev, libpng-dev, g77,
libboost, which one cannot reasonable expect to be
installed on the user's computer by default.
Debian policy
(http://release.debian.org/etch_rc_policy.txt) requires
that all packages except packages with priority
"essential" and packages which are dependences of
"build-essential" package (namely gcc, g++, make,
libc6-dev and dev-scripts), used in build process,
should be listed in this line.
