It would be OK to distribute these programs in separate package with
different license than GPL, which could not be distributed by commercial
vendors.

Yes SuSE Linux 9.3 already contains hugin. We have to re-package source
and remove SIFT from it or mark source code as NoSource.

SIFT (autopano-sift) was disabled for now. In future things can change.
It depends on patent policy of Novell in future.
