[ptx] Miscellaneous Windows Hugin Problems -- Suggestions?

Hi All,
I am using the latest Windows binary release with the latest panotools.dll
file, and have encountered the following problems:
1) PTStitcher crashes with buffer errors when attempting to stitch
more than 60 unages
2) Hugin previews fail with more than 40 images
3) Segment faults in Hugin and bad (corrupted) tiff output with pt-stitcher
4) Temp file creation errors with Enblend
5) Nona saves tiff output in wrong format for Windows enblend (zip
compression, not lzw)
etc. etc. etc.

Hugin is wonderful software, but I'm starting to wonder if it is at
all viable on Windows. Since I have some great hi-res pictures I'd
like to stitch, is there anyone out there who could give me a quick
heads up on how to run the software on a bootable linux distribution
like Knoppix?

Thanks to all.

With Best Regards,
Travis Good
