[ptx] Super-resolution images from many registered digicam images

I saw something on /. about 3 years ago about a researcher who was
working on this topic but using low resolution consumer video cameras
for source material. His software would also apparantly stitch images
together - a pan across a scene would result in some sort of panorama.

I realise my limited description isn't much help :)
