[ptx] hugin/PTOptimizer problem

Hmmm, recompiling the CVS, I get this error from ./configure:

checking if Panotools package is complete... no -- some components failed test
configure: error:
        the panorama tools library must be installed on your system
        but configure could not find it.

How is it checking for panotools? Because I have it installed in /usr/local/bin
