Hmm, in the long term, all that stuff should be included in impex.

There are issues with alphachannels in the images as well, this is why I'm
using my own code (in the src/vigra_ext/tiffUtils.h) to save the alpha channels
right now.

the impex needs to be made more flexible. I'll talk with the authors about
that.
