[ptx] OT (a little) - Which linux distribution for AMD64 and 64 bits kernel development ?

I know it's a little OT, but it fact not really, as I will use a 64 bit
kernel to produce the
next generation of panorama tools.
So the only question is : which linux distribution for doing that ?
