wrong ! xrc is included (there is no separate package of that, that's all)

don't know, it seems that only mandrake user are compiling with gtk 2.5? 
If you want to facilate life you can use rpm there

and install directly!
but I adit there are quite old and new verson of hugin is much faster.(Ithink 
there also some hugin packages in PLF!)
What you can do (better) is get "my" latest SRPMs there:
http://emmanuelfavrenicolin.free.fr/Public/Ordinateur/Mandrake/MDK101/SRPMS/
that are prepared for MDK 10.1 and try to compile for MDK10.0, if it work, it 
could be very easy!
(rpm -rebuild *.src.rpm)

I think this is an old bug!

you can you put the first one on the left and the second on the right (you 
have to put the same image on the right and on the left)
This should be in tutorials?

I don't know but I use autopano-sift and it work well!
