[olsx-tech] Fundraising

Dear All
I believe that there is no fundraising section of Occupy (other than the online and Info tent donations). I do not wish to take this on, but we should put a call out at the GA for people who could perhaps form a working group, whose sole function is to fundraise. Vivienne Westwood just donated £1m to those fighting climate change. She has spoken here at Occupy and supports us, thus we should have people on the ground who can follow up to fundraise pro-actively, as I believe that finance is limited at this time and donations have fallen in the last few weeks. There are some working groups, such as Info and Multifaith & Belief who have not taken a float, nor had any expenses paid (other than the phone bill, which should be resolved now as the contract has been changed to unlimited calls etc), however, we need to ensure that we have the funding to continue as a movement. Occupy Wall Street now has a fund of over half a million $'s - we should be seizing the opportunity of fundraising at the march tomorrow, for those who can ensure that on the march we get financial support for Occupy to continue. Not sure how this would work, but it would seem a lost opportunity to fund raise if nothing is done re the march tomorrow.
