Much appreciated Tina<div><br></div><div>We don't have a date yet (although US Occupy have released a general call out against corporations on 29th Feb) but we are wanting to coordinate something that targets the possible wedding between Glencore and Xstrata. The two of them are both well known for exceptionally filthy corporate practice. Glencore is commodities and Xstrata is mining. We would see it as a major success if we frightened the shareholders off and the wedding was cancelled.</div>
<div><br></div><div>It may well be that we go for a major day of action at one site, still waiting to find this out.</div><div><br></div><div>But, worth giving you guys the heads up to see if you would be interested. Either in joining in on one action at one site, creating supporting actions on the same day and/or adding to the material we are gathering about the two corporations. If any of you are in connection with people who may be very well placed to dig up negative info on the two corporations, that'd be great. Particularly footage (but with Xstrata this will be footage from places like South Africa, Australia or South America).</div>
<div><br></div><div>WE have also linked with mining unions on two continents and indigenous activist organizations on two continents plus Occupy in Switzerland and America. We are desperate to have UK Uncut firmly on board by them providing tax analysis of the two corps (who are based in Zug, which is why we have been in touch with Occupy Switzerland). </div>
<div><br></div><div>There is the chance of a serious TV focus on this, backing us up, scrutinizing the 'bride and groom' but also covering how Occupy work together on something.</div><div><br></div><div>Action may be around a month's time.</div>
