Good stuff. Flyers are being printed by Eamonn Ward, though sure more would
always be appreciated!
Suggested blurb for publicity / emails etc:
*Make Banks Pay - Don't Give Them Away!*
Gather at Occupy Sheffield, midday Saturday 18th November for an Uncut
demonstration against Government sell offs and bank greed
Northern Rock has been sold in the middle of an economic crisis at a loss
of around £500 million – money that could have created twenty thousand
jobs. In Sheffield 40,000 families are in a spiral of debt they can't get
out of. France, Germany and the USA all have community banks paid for by
the big banks. Banks that are for people, not for profit. The Government
should have made Northern Rock the lead in a new community banking sector
and taken a step forward, not given it away.
Uncut Sheffield and Occupy Sheffield will be campaigning for banking reform
to support those in debt, and small business, and fight against the greed
of banks and treachery of this Government.
